In July of 1976, at nine years of age Michael Chauncey came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has been a diligent student of the scriptures all his life. In addition, he is an accomplished musician, a worship leader, songwriter, Gospel preacher and Bible teacher.
Michael began using the Verse-By Verse format for teaching through the Bible in 2018. This online ministry has opened doors eventually leading to television appearances, radio broadcasts and much more. In 2020 Pastor Chauncey, along with a team of committed Christian workers planted the Open Air Gospel Church. The church meets daily at 8:30 am for Bible study in the Verse-By Verse format. The church also meets Tuesday nights for Bible study. The main gathering of the church is on Saturday afternoons in the open air held on the campus of New Life Family Church in New Port Richey, Florida. These services feature live praise and worship, Gospel preaching and a family style cookout. Outreach is a big part of the church’s mission. Open Air evangelism at parks, as well as one-on-one witnessing wherever we go is a hallmark of our ministry.
Brother Chauncey is the World Missions Director for the Florida District of the Pentecostal Church of God. In this capacity he travels to local congregations encouraging World missions, evangelism, holy Christian living, intercessory prayer, love and unity among Christian believers
and a joyful anticipation of the Second Coming of Christ.
Michael and his wife Joy have been married since 1986. They have four adult children and eight grandchildren (so far). Michael is the owner of Dreamlab Recording Studio in Port Richey, Florida.
